"MAGIC LABYRINTH'S Dave Holmes reports that the STAR TREK convention Unicon II, held at Bristol's Hilton International hotel in June, managed to upset most of the dealers who attened."
"The committee accepted a full-page advert for their programme booklet from the city's NEW branch of FORBIDDEN PLANET, promising a 25% discount to anyone who brought the booklet to the store that weekend." - "The offer proved so successful that even employee of rival dealers apparently shopped there, effectivly wiping out sales at the convention. Several of the dealers were so upset by this "unfair competition" that they are considering boycotting future TREK conventions."
